AI in Controlling Is Not an IT Project
Most companies treat AI in controlling like an IT project. Licences, rollout, done. Yet that is where the actual work begins.
The former CFO of one of our customers once broke change down into three words: willing, able, allowed.
Willing means genuine readiness. Able means enablement, because a controller’s profile today looks fundamentally different from five years ago. Allowed covers clear rules of the game and trust in people working under their own responsibility.
We saw exactly this over the years while introducing driver-based steering. The concept was never the problem. The necessary shift in thinking was.
With AI the same thing is repeating. Only faster. And with more pressure of expectation.
